About the Indigenous Geothermal Symposium

The Indigenous Geothermal Symposium focuses on the intersection of geothermal energy and
Indigenous communities worldwide.

Symposium Objectives:

  •  Engagement: Bring together Indigenous leaders, geothermal experts, policymakers, and
    community members to discuss the development and implementation of geothermal
    energy projects.
  •  Education: Provide comprehensive sessions on geothermal energy, including its
    technological, cultural, and historical aspects.
  •  Collaboration: Facilitate cross-cultural dialogues and partnerships to enhance the role
    of Indigenous communities in the geothermal energy sector.

The symposium will feature a series of sessions designed to explore the cultural, technological,
and environmental aspects of geothermal energy. Attendees will have the opportunity to
engage with the latest advancements in geothermal technology, share their experiences and
insights, and collaborate on developing strategies that respect and incorporate Indigenous
perspectives.

This event aims to create a platform for Indigenous voices to be heard, fostering a global dialogue on the potential and challenges of geothermal energy development in Indigenous
territories.
