Drew Siler
Geologica
Senior Geologist
Dr. Drew Siler is a Senior Geologist specializing in 3D structural and geologic characterization of geothermal areas. His 12+ years of professional experience ranges from regional geothermal assessments to evaluations of individual geothermal systems, including well targeting, in a variety of tectonic settings. His expertise includes integration of geological (geologic map, downhole geologic data) and geophysical (gravity, magnetics, MT, seismic reflection) data, the construction of 3D geologic maps and models, as well as static and dynamic stress modeling. Dr. Siler has authored or co-authored 60+ peer-reviewed publications and conference papers on geothermal energy, structural geology, and tectonics that have been cited 1000+ times. He joined Geologica Geothermal Group in 2023, after six years as a Research Scientist and Mendenhall Fellow at the U.S. Geological Survey. Prior to that, Dr. Siler conducted and managed geothermal research projects as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Nevada, Reno/Great Basin Center for Geothermal Energy. He earned a PhD in Geology from Syracuse University, with a focus on structural geology and tectonics, and a BS in Geology from the University of Washington.
