Technical Paper Oral Presenters

  • Interested authors must submit a technical paper abstract for consideration by the Technical Committee.
  • After the abstract review is completed, qualifying authors will be invited to submit a technical paper for possible inclusion in the technical paper program. Invitations are not a guarantee that a paper will be accompanied by an oral presentation. (Note: If an invited presentation is not accepted as an oral presentation, the author will be given the opportunity to present their research in a poster format). The presenting author must accept the invitation or the abstract will be withdrawn from consideration.
  • Invited authors will submit their completed technical paper by the posted deadline. Technical papers will be reviewed by a minimum of three program volunteers. Papers that do not comply with the Paper Template and subsequent formatting instructions may be rejected. (International attendees must set their paper size to 8.5 x 11 to be in compliance.)
  • After the technical paper review is completed, the papers with the highest scores will be selected for oral presentation at the 2024 Geothermal Rising Conference. Submissions that were not selected for oral presentation but meet Geothermal Rising's acceptance guidelines and standards, with scores that merit inclusion in the program, will be invited to present a technical poster.
  • Authors that fail to submit their technical papers and all other required documentation by the appropriate deadline may be withdrawn from the program and/or subject to 1-3 year submission suspension.
  • All technical paper oral presentations will be a total of 20 minutes in length - 15 minutes allocated for the presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A.
